The musa is the largest socio-cultural center in Göttingen and the district.

On 5000 square meters we offer everything your heart desires:

Socioculture and events on the upper floor

Rooms for workshops and courses, concerts, parties, readings, theater, dance and music and to get to know each other. There is also a very extensive project area, district work and networking. Cultural (political) work, meetings, seminars, conferences and the promotion of young talent. We are networked nationwide, have a wide range of collaborations and enjoy working with other cultural institutions.

Domino e.V.: Association for children's and youth theater

Blickwechsel e.V. : Blickwechsel e.V. has thus set itself the task of putting the diverse tasks of media education into practice. Our team attaches particular importance to target group orientation and a variety of methods.

Rock office: The desire for more offers in the field of rock and pop music is at the top of the list of young people in the region according to the latest survey by the Landschaftsverband. The Rockbüro runs the Nörgelbuff live club with over 150 concerts a year, organizes the annual Local Heroes competition for young talent and supports regional festivals and concerts in Göttingen's live clubs.

Creative floor on the ground floor

Offices, studios, kitchenette, table tennis table, table football, a co-working space, workshops and a rehearsal stage/exhibition room/seminar room.

In the middle, on the ground floor, is the newly developed, magnificent cultural and creative floor: offices, studios, a co-working space, workshops and a rehearsal stage/exhibition room/seminar room. Anyone can work here...hold meetings...develop...exhibit...sell products...anything goes.

Basement - 18 practice rooms and a recording studio
Our basement is home to the largest music center in Lower Saxony. With a rehearsal stage and the recording studio "Out-O-Space", owned by Tom Spötter, musa provides an ideal infrastructure for rock, pop and jazz bands.
The rental of the basement rooms has been transferred from the Rockbüro to musa since January 1, 2020...please contact t.tiedemann@musa.de.
