The historic buildings and machinery can be viewed at the museum shipyard. Ships are restored here or reconstructed from old cracks. The shipyard is a self-help workshop for traditional ships. Visitors can take a walk through the harbor and shipyard and see how a plank is changed or how it is caulked with pitch and tow in the old-fashioned way. But the old ships are not just there to look at: some of them are happy to take guests on board when they set sail on shorter or longer trips.
