MusikZentrum Hannover

The MusikZentrum Hannover has existed as a non-profit limited company since 1993 and is institutionally supported by the city of Hannover. The MusikZentrum's mission is to give as many people as possible access to active music-making. This is achieved with a wide variety of offers: Practice rooms, events, recording studio, mobile (RockMobil, MusikMobil, SoundTruck), projects.

The MusikZentrum Hannover rarely carries these out alone. We usually find one or more partners from the city, the region or even Lower Saxony and nationwide for each idea. Examples of partners for projects are the City of Hanover, the State Theater of Lower Saxony, the Paritätische Niedersachsen, the Bürgerstiftung Hannover, the Kre|H|tiv | Netzwerk Hannover, the LAG Rock in Niedersachsen, the Deutsche Rockmusik Stiftung and many more. We are also active in vocational training: since 2001, we have already trained over 100 young people in five different professions. This is part of a very successful training cooperation with the city of Hanover.

The MusikZentrum has a total of five buildings. Our main building in Emil-Meyer-Straße with the event hall, two practice room bunkers in Rotermundstraße and Emscherweg and a practice room in Hildesheimer Straße. The offices of the RockBüro Hannover, the LAG Rock in Niedersachsen, the Deutsche Rockmusik Stiftung and rockszene.de are located in our premises.
