Bonnekamphöhe - experience the garden, create community

Bonnekamphöhe in Essen-Katernberg is a lively, ecological and social project run by the non-profit Bonnekamp Foundation. In the middle of an urban area, a green oasis for nature, encounters and community activities is being created here - open to all generations.

Every Saturday from May to October, we invite you to an open garden day with a wide range of activities on the three-hectare site:

🌿 The Bunte Beete garden café spoils you with freshly prepared, purely plant-based food and drinks from our own cultivation.
🎶 Creative hands-on activities such as making music together, handicrafts with children or small workshops invite you to get active and exchange ideas with others.
🍏 You can take seasonal fruit and vegetables straight from the garden to sell.
🌼 In our young plant sale, we offer plants grown with love - including many native wild plants that not only thrive in your own garden, but also make a valuable contribution to biodiversity.

The Bonnekamphöhe is a place to pause, join in and be together. Whether on a walk through the garden, a chat in the café or doing something together - nature and community come together here in a very special way.
