Spurred on by the power of self-empowerment and inspired by the beauty of temporary places of semi-legal and illegalized celebration, we set about redeveloping a wasteland in Dresden's industrial area in 2015. It was to become a highway church for drinkers and dreamers, a safe haven for night owls and day thieves of all stripes. Since our opening in 2017, we have stood for overcoming the notorious dichotomy between entertainment and political culture; for synergies between the arts and trades; for a progressive and collectivist club culture.

With us you will find a place to listen and chat, to make music, to discuss, to dance and to get lost. We have space for partying, concerts, theater and film screenings, performances, exhibitions, readings and discourse. What drives us is the constant desire to give the fleeting moments of spontaneous bliss a home. The oka is the appropriation, opening and design of urban space for the common good. Over the years, an interdisciplinary synthesis of the arts has been created with 100% personal effort; an organism that can only exist with and for each other. This collectivist spirit makes a variety of events and a strong cultural-political commitment possible in the first place.
