The Parochial Church in the church district Berlin Stadtmitte is a church of the Protestant parish St.Petri-St.Marien in the Berlin district Mitte. The building, built from 1695, is the oldest church of the Reformed congregation of Berlin.LocationThe church together with the associated churchyard is located between Klosterstraße, Parochialstraße and Waisenstraße directly behind the old city wall of Berlin, which is partially preserved at this location. On the church grounds lies the historic churchyard with a number of old grave crosses and tablets. Behind it, the three-story parish hall of the former Evangelische Georgen-Parochialgemeinde borders the area. In 1968, the parochial congregation, which had been independent until then, merged with the Georgen congregation, which finally merged with the Marien congregation in 2003. In addition, there is a baroque building that was built as early as 1708 and served as a parish hall and hospital, but since the late 1990s has housed part of the theological faculty of Humboldt University.
