Built on the foundations of the medieval Latin school, the Archaeology Lab shows what otherwise takes place behind closed doors: In a hitherto unique way, PETRI Berlin makes workshops, magazines and project areas accessible to visitors so that they can participate directly in current discoveries and research and experience the individual steps of archaeological work.

Significant finds from the entire Berlin city area and the collection of the Museum of Prehistory and Early History with objects from the Palaeolithic Age to Heinrich Schliemann's collection of Trojan antiquities and modern objects convey all facets of archaeology.
