In the location's words:

We, the 150 members of the Kunstverein Wagenhalle e. V., have built up a unique production facility at Stuttgart's Nordbahnhof station since 2004. The former wagon repair hall and the associated buildings house our studios, workshops and storage rooms. The following artistic disciplines are represented here - painting, music, photography, architecture, architectural botany, theater, puppet making, puppet theater, performance, installation, curation, design, graphic and web design, arts and crafts as well as film and media art. This diversity gives rise to intergenerational and interdisciplinary projects.

Since 2020, the project space has served as an exhibition and event venue and is used for the numerous projects of the Kunstverein's artists and cultural workers as well as for collaborations with regional and international artists and institutions. In addition to the institutionally funded program, external cultural, educational, social and urban development events are also part of our concept.
