The Rathaus-Galerie Reinickendorf is located in the new town hall building, which was completed in 1957, and has been used as an exhibition space ever since. Famous artists such as the internationally renowned Dadaist Hannah Höch, who lived in the Reinickendorf district until 1978, have already presented their works here. The Rathaus-Galerie mainly presents thematic group exhibitions with a focus on current artistic positions. There is also close cooperation with the Reinickendorf studio houses. In addition to Berlin artists, the gallery is also open to internationally active artists.
Rathaus-Galerie Reinickendorf has been part of the Berlin Municipal Galleries Working Group (KGB) since 2014. This includes over 30 galleries in all of Berlin's districts, which are places of presentation, promotion and networking for professional artists. With numerous exhibitions and events, they play a decisive role in shaping Berlin's art landscape. In addition, as places open to all citizens, they play an important role in cultural education and active participation.
