Geese are chattering, the sun is tickling your nose, a pleasant breeze is blowing through the tree branches, bringing with it the scent of quesadillas, the white sand is pleasantly warm, a fish comes to the surface of the water and makes a bubble, someone squeals as he or she whizzes across the pond on the ropeway from the climbing forest, and the bright colors of the containers directly put you in a good mood.

The Revierstrand spreads the ultimate vacation flair - and right on our doorstep, in the Revierpark Wischlingen. Sitting here in a deck chair with a refreshing cocktail or delicious ice cream from Hitzefrei and watching the ducks on the water is almost too good to be true.

The Revierstrand provides you with dreams from California

This oasis has been around since 2020 and continues to evolve. Last year, for example, the food truck "California Dreaming" with its burgers, fries and changing Mexican street food dishes was added, BBQ evenings are planned as well as small chill DJ events. Because this summer will probably be the first without Corona editions.

And what better way to toast it than with one of the delicious beers, long drinks or cocktails? Many of the cocktail ingredients are homemade to bring that extra flavor into the glass and onto the guests' tongues. This comes as no surprise when we look at who is behind the Revierstrand: two familiar faces from Dortmund's gastro scene - Adrian, Malo and Pascal from "Sachte" in the Kreuzviertel.

Beach experience with short vacation effect

The attention to detail therefore does not stop with the selection and preparation of the drinks. The equipment here on the beach is self-built and self-painted and provides a wonderful beach experience with a short vacation effect. If you want to keep to yourself for a private party, you can rent parts of the beach - or the entire facility.

Besides drinks, ice cream and street food, the guys have everything you need for a relaxed visit: You can borrow deck chairs for free and there are blankets, toys for kids and and and.... If you miss something, just let us know - and next time the list will be extended.

Bike tour, disc golf and wild animal enclosure

A visit to the Revierstrand can be combined with a short bike tour to the west of Dortmund or a walk through the Revierpark. The park offers not only a lot of recreation but also great activities: Directly on the other side of the pond, for example, an action mini-golf course awaits you or you can play a round of disc golf - it's like golf, except that you don't have to drive a ball with a club and then hole it, but throw Frisbees instead. And there are great things for families too: all the playgrounds are being spruced up and soon there will be a wildlife enclosure.

So get out of the city and to the beach - and then just let your soul dangle!
