The history of the VILLA began in the spring of 1990, when a group of young, committed people occupied the city headquarters of the Free German Youth in Leipzig. Since then, more than 30 years have passed and more than 40 associations, initiatives and organizations use the rooms and facilities of the socio-cultural center at Lessingstraße 7 in Leipzig. The result is a variety of offers that is unparalleled in Leipzig: Over 100 events and offers and well over 1,500 visitors a week are a proud record.
The house is open to everyone. A meeting place for people of all ages and regardless of their origin. A space for your own ideas and projects. An opportunity for each individual to express their concerns.
