The Kunstverein Passau e.V. is actively committed to promoting artists and uses the St. Anna Chapel as its central exhibition venue. On the premises of the former Franciscan monastery, the focus is on contemporary art, which is presented in around ten important exhibitions per year.

The generous exhibition space of 450 m² includes the impressive chapel room with its Gothic vaulted ceiling, the historic cloister of the monastery complex and the inner courtyard, which is used for sculpture exhibitions.

As a representative of the interests of art and its creators, the Kunstverein not only organizes exhibitions, but also publishes the biannual "Passauer Kunst Blätter". In addition, it offers cultural tours to museums and monuments and organizes lectures, readings and events with performance and music. The association works closely with local and regional cultural institutions and thus actively contributes to the promotion and networking of the art scene.
