Tape That Collective

In the location's words:

We are a collective of five artists and formed TAPE THAT in 2011. Inspired by the idea of creating something artistic out of an everyday object, we mostly work with tapes and foils. Exploring various adhesive materials and different approaches over the years, we have come to cherish their limitations as well as the novel possibilities. Our artistic roots can be found in contemporary urban art, graffiti, and design. Ranging from complex and room-filling installations to minimalistic black and white murals, our works can be found everywhere from festivals, nightclubs and abandoned buildings to art galleries and showrooms. Each of our artwork is unique as we are inspired by and incorporate the spatial circumstances. Although based in Berlin, we regularly travel the world to raise awareness of tape art and establish it as an acknowledged form of art. In order to strengthen the existing tape art movement and to connect like-minded artists we organize and curate the Tape Art Convention.
