The Teikei Café in Hamburg, opened in September 2019 by designer and coffee expert Aaron, pursues a philosophy of sustainability and solidarity. The café stands for direct contact with the coffee farmers, who supply hand-picked beans that are transported to Germany by sailing ship in a climate-neutral way. The principle of community-supported agriculture is very important here: Consumers finance the cultivation of the beans and share the harvest with the farmers. This approach is continued in the café through the use of regional and seasonal organic products.

The Teikei Café, which is located in the Karoviertel in Marktstraße, serves a variety of coffee specialties - from filter coffee to cappuccino. The drinks are accompanied by cakes, sandwiches and other delicacies prepared with ingredients from the nearby Buschberghof farm. The café attaches particular importance to the origin of the products, which are all of Demeter quality.
