The Theater der Altstadt, with its eventful history from 1958 to the present day, is the second oldest private theater in Stuttgart after the Komödie im Marquardt. After Brennerstraße and Charlottenplatz, since 1993 we have not only been linked by our venue at Feuersee, but also by a deep sympathy with the west of Stuttgart and its inhabitants. The love for our audience - without which theater would not be possible - is the linchpin of our work. The Theater der Altstadt should be a place of encounter; a place characterized by openness and consistency - a place where people feel at home. The proximity and constant exchange with our audience enables us to create a varied program with something for everyone.

We stand for artistically high-quality and serious theater that can also entertain, because theater is an experience whose beauty, wit, thoughtfulness, tearfulness and unbridled joy you should be able to draw on for a long time afterwards.

Unser Kartenbüro ist Mo-Fr von 10:00-18:00 Uhr geöffnet.
Unsere Vorstellungen beginnen Mo-Sa in der Regel um 19:30 Uhr und sonntags um 17:00 Uhr. Die Abendkasse öffnet eine Stunde vor Vorstellungsbeginn. Das Ende der Vorstellungen kann von unseren Angaben abweichen und sollte nur als ungefährer Richtwert verstanden werden.
