Ruhr Tent Festival
With 17 event days, the Tent Festival Ruhr presents one of the longest festival periods in Germany and brings a pluralistic, top-class program to event tents of different sizes. First launched in 2008, the Zeltfestival Ruhr celebrates its 15th festival edition from 16.08.- 01.09.2024, with more than 500 guest performances, over 1 million visitors and 1.5 decades later. The colorful live program of music, comedy & cabaret and word counts more than 40 shows - including artists such as Nina Chuba, Tom Odell, James Blunt, ELIF, Silbermond, Giovanni Zarrella, Mark Forster, Sarah Connor, The BossHoss, Torsten Sträter, Wincent Weiss, Jan Delay, Calum Scott, Grossstadtgeflüster, Max Mutzke and many more. In addition to the diverse program in the three large event tents, the late summer festival also offers a pluralistic range of events on the outdoor area for spontaneous walk-in guests.

The popular white tent city in the middle of the local recreation area is one of the most established and beautiful festivals in North Rhine-Westphalia and has been impressing visitors since 2008 with a unique concept of exquisite gastronomy, a diverse cultural program and an incomparable atmosphere that invites you to take a short break. Every year, the white tent city attracts around 140,000 visitors to Lake Kemnader. The three cultural organizers from Bochum attach particular importance to the program. Every year, world stars and newcomers together with up to 5,000 concertgoers create unforgettable moments in the most intimate setting that can only be found at the Zeltfestival Ruhr. For years, the ZfR has been a highlight in the festival landscape for artists and visitors alike - and with its event period from mid-August to early September, it is often the crowning glory of a long festival summer. The festival offers an impressive world of experiences with a daily changing program for concertgoers, comedy and cabaret fans. But art lovers, beer garden fans and gourmets won't miss out in the middle of the 25,000 square meter area either! The largest open-air concert in the region and the arts and crafts market in the ambience of the large illuminated event tents also delight visitors without a concert ticket every day.
