Zeltfestival Ruhr took place for the first time in 2008. In previous years, Bastille, Bilderbuch, Blumentopf, Bosse, Bush, Casper, Clueso, Die Fantastischen Vier, Farin Urlaub Racing Team, Fettes Brot, Freundeskreis, James Blunt, Jamie Cullum, Joe Cocker, Katie Melua, Kontra K, Marteria, Morcheeba, Nina Chuba, Placebo and many more have been booked.

Every year, the white tent city attracts around 140,000 visitors to Lake Kemnade. The three cultural organizers from Bochum attach particular importance to the programming. Every year, world stars and newcomers together with up to 5,000 concertgoers create unforgettable moments in the most intimate setting that can only be found at the Zeltfestival Ruhr. For years, the ZfR has been a highlight in the festival landscape for artists and visitors alike - and with its event period from mid-August to early September, it is often the crowning glory of a long festival summer. The festival offers an impressive world of experiences with a daily changing program for concertgoers, comedy and cabaret fans. But art lovers, beer garden fans and gourmets won't miss out in the middle of the 25,000 square meter area either! The largest open-air concert in the region and the arts and crafts market in the ambience of the large illuminated event tents also delight visitors without a concert ticket every day.
