As an independent part of the German Historical Museum, the Zeughauskino shows film series of a special kind. That means above all: film series that draw from the entire history of film. Masterpieces from the world's archives that are (almost) never seen in Germany are presented by the Zeughauskino in the original version. Silent films are accompanied live by pianists and ensembles. The interior architecture of the beautiful cinema hall, which was reopened in 2004 after a renovation, is listed as a testimony to the early 1960s.
