The 21st achtung berlin filmfestival for young cinema from Berlin and Brandenburg will take place from April 2 to 9, 2025 and will show the latest films from the capital region over 8 days in 10 Berlin cinemas: debut films, award-winning films, highlights and TV previews. Around 80 current film productions in four competitions and in the Spotlight, Special and Series sections celebrate their world premieres or Berlin premieres. The Retrospective is dedicated to the aftermath of the Second World War in German film, the 80th anniversary of which will be celebrated this May. Berlin film talents and professionals can experience exciting discussions, workshops and panels at the achtung berlin industry days in the Grüner Salon. The achtung berlin filmfestival will also be a guest at the Schukurama cinema in Beeskow, Brandenburg, from April 11-12.
