In the former paper warehouse of the Herder publishing house, which has been converted into a museum space, the Archaeological Collection of the University of Freiburg presents its complete holdings for the first time since 1944: ancient originals, casts of Greek and Roman sculpture, components of the architecture of the Roman temple complex in Baalbek as well as numerous loans of ancient works of art. Visitors can explore the imagery and culture of Greco-Roman antiquity on a broad scale. Unlike in many museums, the changing arrangement of the exhibits always leads to new visual experiences.
