We are a small team of volunteers who organize the African Film Festival Hamburg every year in November. Our aim is to give mainly African directors a stage to tell their stories and show perspectives on topics that are underrepresented here. We always invite as many guests as possible to the screenings - filmmakers from abroad as well as local speakers - to discuss the content of the films with you. It is important to us to give insights into as many different countries as possible, to cover different genres in the program and to get into conversation with you.
