It's about music - about special evenings for both the artists and the audience. BandsPrivat stands for intimate concerts in a cozy, familiar atmosphere, for good, handmade music, for old and new friends on, in front of and behind the stage. The musical offerings range from folk and pop to jazz, acoustic singer-songwriter music and electronic-experimental sounds.

In mid-2015, we ventured into another new series: we only take care of one stage, we leave the music to you! The BandsPrivat JamSession was born. The JamSession has since become a small institution in Jena, with over 50 JamSessions already taking place and it's hard to imagine BandsPrivat without them.

We can look back on over 100 concerts in the Haus auf der Mauer, with regional artists such as Molatree from Erfurt, established German bands such as Deep Sea Diver from Göttingen and international musicians such as Joanna Chapman-Smith from Canada and Charlie Barnes from Leeds, England. The concerts are organized by the members of the BandsPrivat Jena e.V. association, who put their heart and soul into transforming the Haus auf der Mauer into a musical living room for one or two evenings a month.

Our team is made up of dedicated people with different ideas and talents, but with a common goal: to create evenings that are enjoyable for both the audience and the artists and that will be remembered for a long time to come thanks to their private and special atmosphere.
