BellZett is a non-profit association founded in 1984 as "Selbstverteidigung für Frauen e. V.". Today, BellZett is a specialist institution for gender-sensitive violence prevention and exercise. Our mission statement: We want to move and shape society. Our work is characterized by women's partisan thinking and at the same time our concepts are based on the knowledge that gender is socially constructed.

We have a vision of a non-violent society in which all people live freely and equally, regardless of their gender, age, cultural background, sexual orientation and social background and with all their different mental, psychological and physical abilities.
