BergWacht - Melodic & Peak Time Techno from the heart of Cologne

In 2008, Denis Lihotzky and Max Keck noticed that something was missing in Cologne's underground scene: a place where melodic techno takes center stage. This idea gave rise to BergWacht - a project close to their hearts that regularly provides Cologne with finely curated events.

Named after their home region, the Oberbergisches Land, BergWacht symbolizes musical salvation and emotional flights of fancy. Since the first events at the legendary Artheater Köln, BergWacht has quickly become an integral part of the local techno culture.

Denis "Liho" Lihotzky, resident DJ and booker, ensures that every event remains a special experience with his keen sense for up-and-coming talent and extraordinary sounds. The guest DJs and the loyal, energetic audience make BergWacht an institution for all those who love deep, powerful techno.

This was followed in 2012 by the founding of BergWacht Records - a label that also gives expression to the shared passion on vinyl and digitally. The focus is on carefully selected releases that capture the BergWacht feeling - intense, atmospheric and full of emotion.

Since 2022, BergWacht has expanded its musical portfolio: In addition to the characteristic melodic sounds, Peak Time Techno now also characterizes the sound of the events and releases - punchy, driving and energetic, without losing sight of the emotional depth.
