The Neukölln Urban Development Office is one of many specialist offices in the Neukölln district authority. It ensures orderly urban development and pursues the development potential of the urban space, taking into account ecological, cultural, social and economic aspects in the Neukölln district. The Neukölln Urban Development Office is made up of three departments:

• Urban Planning,
• Building and Housing Supervision and
• Surveying and Geoinformation

There is also the urban planning coordination office, which deals with social infrastructure, housing policy, rental issues and public participation.
