BOHEI Festival

BOHEI is THE participatory festival for young audiences. From 21 to 24 May, over 100 performers between the ages of 7 and 25 will showcase their work and make the diversity of artistic forms of expression visible. The whole house is filled with theater, performance, dance, music, exhibitions and opportunities to get creative yourself. There is always something to see, hear or do, so you can simply let yourself drift.

The motto of this year's festival is "Turning Points". The 10 COMEDIA Theater collectives have spent a year exploring this theme and are presenting their results for the first time at BOHEI. What are the moments after which everything is different than before? At what point does everything go in a different direction? What are the tipping points of a society? Where are we going now and when will we finally get to the point? All these questions are addressed by the collective pieces that can be seen almost every hour at BOHEI.

There will be a drawing course, creative market, bobby car parkour, follow-up discussions on all the pieces and a ball pool on Sunday. There will be music by DJs and two exhibitions to see and hear: Photos by Grenzsprenger*innen Kollektiv and various works on loneliness by Junge Stadt Köln. BOHEI 2026 brings together young people, theater, interactive formats, games, parties, exchange and much more - all under one roof!
