About us

As Germany's first pure American football club for women's football, our goal is very clear: to become THE size for women's football in the north.

In 2021, former and active football officials from other clubs met in Lilienthal to focus on women's football. The decision to found a football club for women only was made and the plan was put into practice. Lilienthal Venom was born.

In 2022, we competed as newcomers in the 2nd Bundesliga. With around 500 spectators at our home games, we broke all records in the region.

In 2023, we celebrated the first victories in our club's history and secured a commanding 3rd place in the 2nd Bundesliga Group North.

2024 was a year full of success and change for our club. We beat the reigning champions of DBL2 Group North twice, securing the runner-up title in the 2nd Bundesliga Group North and qualifying for the playoffs for the first time. We put in an impressive performance there and left with our heads held high after a thrilling quarter-final.

After the season, a landmark decision had to be made: In order to further promote our growth and the future of women's football, we decided to relocate to the Hanseatic city of Bremen. With this change, we ushered in a new era and the Lilienthal Venom became the Bremen Venom. Our mission remains clear: to make women's football big in the north and set new standards.
