The German Music Competition is a springboard for young classical musicians making the transition from university to professional life. Founded in 1975 in response to the low international presence of German musical talent, the competition specifically promotes musicians between the ages of 18 and 30 in annually changing solo and chamber music ensembles as well as composition.
