About sündikat e.V. & the project "Die Sünde"

Started as a temporary project, Die Sünde has had a permanent home in the former Ring Theater in Weiden since January 2023. With its impressive auditorium, special foyer and many other nooks and crannies, the building is now a vibrant place for cultural life in the region - open, diverse and atmospheric.

Die Sünde is run by the non-profit association das sündikat e.V. - a volunteer community that puts its heart and soul into making culture in all its facets possible. Our focus is on music, but also on special formats that create atmosphere, artistically surprise and connect people. We attach great importance to respectful treatment of artists, high-quality technology and a coherent overall picture.

Our aim is to showcase culture in Weiden that otherwise rarely takes place here: exciting acts, musical diversity and artistic relevance - beyond the purely commercial. We want to give a broad audience the chance to discover new things and are actively committed to a diverse, inclusive and contemporary program.
