^{ImmunoSensation3} is a Cluster of Excellence at the University of Bonn. We are immunologists, neurobiologists, systems biologists, biochemists, biophysicists and mathematicians from the University of Bonn, the University Hospital Bonn (UKB) and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE). Together, we are researching the immune system, which we regard as a sensory organ for health and accordingly refer to as the immune sensory organ - hence our name.

ImmunoSensation was founded in 2012 and is currently in its fifteenth year of funding. We continue to pursue our mission of researching the immune system using innovative approaches and methods. In addition, we connect immunology with other systems, such as metabolism and the nervous system. Ultimately, our goal is to better understand the close relationship between the immune-sensory system and human health and disease.
