International meeting for puppet theater & showcase

In 2025, the FIGURE IT OUT! festival of the Alliance of International Production Centers for Puppet Theatre will finally return to Leipzig! After an edition at the Schaubude Berlin on the topic of artistic research in 2023 and one at the FITZ Stuttgart in 2024 with a focus on body and figure, we are very happy to have the festival back in the West Wing. As with the first edition in 2022, the focus will once again be on international collaboration.

The artistic program includes international productions from Belgium, France, Israel, India, Poland, Argentina and Germany. As part of the network meeting, we invite audiences and professionals to discuss topics such as international cooperation, the impact of political conflicts on the cultural sector and the future of object theater in various formats.

In 2025, the festival FIGURE IT OUT! of the "Alliance of International Production Centres for Figure Theatre" is finally coming back to Leipzig! After an edition at Schaubude Berlin on the topic of artistic research in 2023 and one at FITZ Stuttgart in 2024 with a focus on body and figure, we are delighted to have the festival back at Westflügel. As with the first edition in 2022, the focus will once again be on international collaboration. Both Leipzig and international artists will be represented in the showcase program.

As part of the network meeting, we invite audiences and professionals to discuss topics such as "The impact of political conflicts on the cultural sector", "International collaborations" and the "Visibility of puppet theater as an independent art form" in various formats.
