With the HFMxArthaus film series, the Haus für Film und Medien e.V. association is initiating a format for the fourth time that shows films on a specific focus topic and invites guests from the cultural environment to talk about it.

The film series aims to create encounters, initiate discussions and inspire. Visitors, filmmakers, activists, students, initiatives and partner institutions come together to talk.

Under this year's title Wendepunkte (Turning Points), the film series invites you to cinema evenings on the second Wednesday of each month , accompanied by moderated discussions with guests from the worlds of culture, science and society.

The focus is on historical and current turning points. We look at moments that have changed the world. And we look at what drives us today, the major digital and technological upheavals that permeate all areas of life: Work, communication, identity. And last but not least, the ecological tipping point and the question of how we want to (and can) live with nature and the climate in the future.

The Haus für Film und Medien e.V. association is made up of a total of 25 cultural institutions in Stuttgart. Together they have been campaigning for the construction of a house for film and media in Stuttgart for 15 years.
