Homophon combines something for the eye and even more for the ear.

For more than 38 years now, Homophon, the first gay men's choir in Münster, has combined a cappella choral singing with extraordinary stage programs. The sometimes shrill costumes and not infrequently biting conférences have become the choir's trademark. The repertoire includes madrigals as well as hits, evergreens and pop songs - sometimes with lyrics adapted to the needs of the choir. With its method of not always taking itself too seriously, taking prejudices to extremes and thus reducing them to absurdity, Homophon has been able to win a large fan base in over 38 years. Homophon regularly performs concerts in Münster and now has a large regular audience, ranging from 6-year-old children to enthusiastic 90-year-old ladies. Since 1989, the choir has also taken part in European queer choir festivals, where it has represented the city of Münster, including years ago in Dublin, Munich and last time in Bologna.
