Pilzling - more than just a mushroom farm

Pilzling is a Cologne-based company at the interface of urban mushroom cultivation, mycelium technology and cultural exchange. In our city, we grow organic mushrooms based on regional waste materials and at the same time research the potential of mycelium as a material, food and model for thought.

But Pilzling is not just a production site - we see ourselves as an open space for knowledge, encounters and experiments relating to mushrooms.

A central part of Pilzling is our events, which bring together people who are curious about mushrooms, sustainability and new perspectives:

Workshops
In our practical workshops, we teach the basics and provide in-depth knowledge on mushroom cultivation, mycelium applications and fermentation and processing methods. Whether beginner or advanced.

Myco-lloquium
The Myko-lloquium is our discourse format: a place for discussions, lectures and exchange between science, practice, art and society. This is where researchers, designers, cooks and mushroom enthusiasts come together to think beyond mushrooms.

Fungilicious Super Club
The Fungilicious Super Club is our experimental community evening. The focus is on culinary delights, mushrooms, exchange and good company. A format for everyone who doesn't just want to eat or grow mushrooms, but wants to experience them.
