Since 2020, the KopfbauT initiative has been revitalizing the former ticket hall of the Riem airport grandstand with workshops, exhibitions, readings, theater, music and more.

With the aim of preserving and developing the Kopfbau as a meeting place for the district, the initiative founded the non-profit association "Initiative KopfbauT" in 2022.
