INTO THE FIELDS

"Everyone is a dancer", according to the famous quote by Rudolf von Laban. According to this, no special skills are required, but first and foremost a desire and curiosity for movement and for coming into contact with others. Dancing brings us together, lets us experience community and constantly creates new experiences.

In this year's edition of INTO THE FIELDS, we are focusing on dance as a "social form" and have put together a program that opens up new perspectives on the body, community and social interaction. The program includes pieces that turn the audience into accomplices, focus on current social developments and bring together people of different generations, cultural backgrounds and physical abilities on stage. Above all, however, there are numerous opportunities to get moving and engage in an exchange with each other, e.g. about how we can shape an open and diverse society.

You can expect "classics" and participatory works by CocoonDance and Tanzwerke Vanek Preuß, a German premiere by Martina De Dominicis as well as encounters, workshops and mediation formats with the choreographers and dancers Hannah Shakti Bühler, Anna Till, Álvaro Esteban, Ada Sternberg and Rafaële Giovanola!
