We, the "Sölzer Famillisch", are a carnival society from the Sülz district of Cologne. Our society was founded by members of a "carnival-crazy" family regulars' table in Sülz, i.e. "ener Sölzer Famillisch".

After the members of the regulars' table managed to take part in the "Kölner Schull- und Veedelszöch" in 1964 - probably more by chance than by design - the society was founded in 1965 and entered in the Cologne register of associations in 1967.

The purpose of the society is to preserve and promote the traditional customs of Cologne carnival and to foster sociability.

We realize this purpose in particular by organizing carnival meetings and participating in the Tuesday Veedelszoch through Sülz-Klettenberg-Lindenthal. As is usual in a good family, old and young, men and women belong to our society. We meet not only during the session but throughout the year for our monthly regulars' table, the "Famillije-Ausflug" (family outing), the St. Nicholas party and many of our members' private family celebrations, which are held according to our motto:

"Long live conviviality, health, joy and unity"

with your company.
