The ecumenical project Churches + Cinema. The film tip presents films that have been highlighted by the Protestant and Catholic film work in Germany as film of the month or as a cinema tip from Catholic film critics. These are compelling films of various genres which, regardless of their respective spiritual home, uphold the longing for something different, for a "more of life".

The film tip aims to encourage people to take a closer look and convey a desire to see, to enlighten and at the same time provide pure cinematic pleasure.

Cinemas in 30 locations in Lower Saxony, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia are involved in the project "Churches + Cinema. The movie tip" project. Cooperation partners in Hanover are the Evangelische Erwachsenenbildung Niedersachsen, the Ev.-luth. Marktkirchengemeinde Hannover, Wiedereintrittsstelle and the Kommunale Kino Hannover.
