The Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft was founded in 1951 and is the institution with the longest tradition of corporate cultural sponsorship in Germany. As an independent network of committed companies, it is committed to artistic freedom as a central pillar of democracy.

For over 70 years, its work has focused on promoting young talent in the fields of architecture, fine arts, literature and music. Thanks to membership fees and donations, the Kulturkreis has already been able to support numerous artists such as Georg Baselitz, Sabine Meyer, Katharina Sieverding, Tabea Zimmermann, Rosemarie Trockel, Candida Höfer and Thomas Demand at the beginning of their careers.

Over the course of the year, the Kulturkreis invites you to selected events - from readings with the nominees for the literature prize and the eagerly awaited final concerts to exhibitions and talks at some of Germany's most important cultural venues.

In recent years, the Kulturkreis has increasingly opened its doors for some of these evenings beyond the circle of its members: interested art and culture enthusiasts are cordially invited to become part of these special encounters.
