The Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft (LAG) Rock in Niedersachsen e. V. promotes popular music in the state of Lower Saxony and supports the exchange of experience and cooperation with and between local institutions.

The LAG Rock is an association of local music initiatives, municipal institutions such as youth and cultural centers or music schools as well as event organizers and private individuals. The LAG Rock is recognized as a non-profit organization. LAG Rock regularly initiates pilot projects in the state of Lower Saxony and explores innovative approaches in the field of popular music. It sees itself as a cross-style and cross-discipline, open and artistically visionary platform in the field of popular and top-level promotion. LAG Rock enables low-threshold cultural participation for all generations and thus assumes social responsibility.

LAG Rock stands for tolerance, equality, equal opportunities and diversity. It provides support regardless of culture (ethnicity), age, gender, sexual orientation, disability and religion. The projects and plans are designed and implemented with cultural and ecological sustainability in mind. LAG Rock is committed to basic democratic values. The LAG Rock is non-partisan.
