Our goal is to plant one tree for every person in Leipzig: 600,000 trees for a shared future! But shrubs will also be planted. The aim is to create forest and green spaces for future generations to walk through, where people can relax, which bind_CO2 in the long term and ensure more biodiversity, especially in the city.

LEIPZIG pflanzt was founded in January 2020 and is a project of the association "Leben im Einklang mit der Natur e.V.". Active people of all generations volunteer their time here.

We organize and host planting events and cooperate with the city of Leipzig, local competence partners, tree nurseries and other initiatives. Finding areas, financing through donations, grants and prizes, and involving people in planting campaigns are at the heart of our work.

But one thing is certain in all our projects:
Our project depends not only on motivated planting helpers, but also on those who organize all our activities. Anyone can join us and flexibly contribute their individual strengths: Whether it's land acquisition, research activities, maintaining cooperation partnerships, social media, writing funding applications or donation letters.
