The Literaturbüro Ruhr, based in Gladbeck, has been responsible for promoting reading and writing in the entire region since 1986 and is the point of contact for everything to do with literature in the Ruhr region and NRW. The Literature Office organizes top-class readings and literature series with various partners in the Ruhr region, organizes and awards the Ruhr Literature Prize on behalf of the RVR and acts as the supporting association for the literaturgebiet.ruhr network. As such, the Literaturbüro Ruhr promotes innovative approaches and exchange between the literary scene, encourages cooperation and manages the bureaucracy associated with a major project such as the Ruhr region-wide network.
