The Literaturhaus Bonn is a meeting place for authors and literary professionals, a place of mediation, of promoting reading and writing, of exchange between readers and writers. As Literatürbüro NRW Süd, we are also the sponsor of the NRW Writing Academy.

We have been located in Bonn's Haus der Bildung since 2015 and cooperate with other cultural institutions such as the Bundeskunsthalle, the university and the Brotfabrik for our events.

Every year, Literaturhaus Bonn brings together interested parties for readings, workshops and performative formats on exciting voices from the German and international literary scene in Bonn . The focus is particularly on contemporary German-language literature, from which bridges are repeatedly built: to international literature, sometimes also to historical works from the past.
