The politik|atelier network works on a voluntary basis to create design opportunities in Bonn and the surrounding area and to implement these in dialog with civil society and municipal stakeholders. The declared aims of the non-profit association, which was founded in 2013, are to promote the common good and to design and implement cultural and educational projects. The association's project work, which is financed by funding, membership fees and donations, combines political objectives in terms of social participation and co-determination with artistic and creative methods. The focus is particularly on activities that draw attention to development policy contexts and promote dialog and the coexistence of cultures.

The politik|atelier e.V. network is politically and denominationally independent.
