Night of Science

(Almost) 20 years have passed since the first Night of Science on June 29, 2006.
It was only thanks to the commitment of ever new teams of students that it has developed into what it is today. Despite all the obstacles of that time, whether it was the Bologna Process, the pandemic or lecturers spontaneously dropping out, we are now one of the largest student-organized events of our kind.

But we didn't come out of nowhere. As a reaction to the planned reintroduction of tuition fees in 2006 and inspired by the Night Learning of 2003, the first NoS held lectures when you could listen to them even though you had to work: at night.
The political context has faded into the background over the years, but our basic ideas and the motivation for our voluntary work have remained the same:

Knowledge wants to be free and accessible to all. And we are proud to make our contribution.
