With almost 8,000 members, the Ökostadt Rhein-Neckar association, which is recognized as a non-profit organization, stands for active environmental protection in the Rhine-Neckar region. It promotes sustainable mobility, is committed to sustainable consumption and is the founder of car sharing in the region. Ökostadt Rhein-Neckar is committed to saving energy and raw materials, reducing the volume of waste and overall reducing and avoiding environmental damage. It offers an environmental education program with numerous events as well as regular repair cafés and clothes swap parties.
