The Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra presents excellent musical performances in its home city and on concert tours around the world. The Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 2000. Its extensive repertoire ranges from baroque to modern music. Our concert programs are first presented in Germany and then repeated on concert tours in the most famous auditoriums in the USA, Italy, Sweden, China, Korea, India and Latin America. The Leipzig Philharmonic has performed at Carnegie Hall New York, the Musikverein Vienna, the Philharmonie Berlin, the Harris Theatre Chicago, the Hall of the People Beijing, the Grand Theatre Shanghai and the Oriental Arts Center Shanghai, the Royal Music Festival Stockholm, the Philharmonie St. Petersburg, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Liederhalle Stuttgart, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the International House of Music Moscow, the Seoul Arts Center, the NCPA Mumbai, the Chowdiah Concert Hall Bangalore, the Teatro Nacional Santo Domingo, etc. Radio and television have broadcast concerts or reported on the orchestra, including ARD, ZDF, DeutschlandRadio, Hessischer Rundfunk, RAI3, CCTV, Russia TV 1, Indian National TV and others.
