"Don't stop the music!" - This motto is more alive than ever for us today. In a world that is constantly changing, culture remains one of the most important spaces for encounters, exchange and new perspectives.

Since our beginnings in 2014, the European Cultural Platform Piano Summer has developed from a local festival into a vibrant international network. What once started small now connects artists, institutions and audiences from all over Europe. Over 18,000 visitors have attended our events in recent years - and in 2026 we are opening a new chapter.

A special highlight this year is the Munich Piano Competition. What began as a project close to our hearts is increasingly developing into an international platform in the heart of Europe. In June, a new generation of pianists from all over the world will gather in Munich to show that music knows no borders in the unique ambience of Nymphenburg Palace.

Immediately after the festive conclusion of the competition, our journey continues south - to the beautiful Salento region for the next edition of Piano Summer Italy. In cities such as Lecce, Acaya, Nardò, Cavallino, Soleto and Depressa, we will create spaces for musical excellence, inspiring encounters and cultural exchange. International concert series, extraordinary venues and our Summer Academy connect young talents with renowned artists from various European countries.

Today, Europe must not just pay lip service - it must be lived. As a European cultural platform, we want to open a window to the world: open, curious and full of trust in the power of art and encounters. We dare to explore new paths off the beaten track of the cultural industry and welcome all those who share a love of music.
