Under this year's motto Character Stories, the 22nd Pictoplasma Festival focuses on characters as the starting point of visual narratives - and on what characters make visible about genres, media and possible futures. Since 1999, Pictoplasma has been bringing together international positions from illustration, animation, art and design and shaping the discourse on contemporary characters. In addition to the specialist conference with international creatives traveling to Berlin, the festival is open to everyone with exhibitions, cinema programs and a Sunday Open House with a market, workshops, readings and meet-ups.
