The krudebude is a Leipzig-based curatorial collective made up of cultural and art scholars. The krudebude has been organized as a non-profit association since 2013.

For nine years, the collective occupied a project apartment in Leipzig's Schönefeld district with an interdisciplinary cultural program and implemented participatory exhibition projects. Since 2023, krudebude has been realizing cultural projects without a fixed location.

The collective's artistic work is dedicated to the themes of Leipzig's diverse urban society. It conveys social issues by looking at personal biographies and everyday history(ies): This results in mostly participatory exhibition formats that aim to encourage encounters, exchange and strengthen social cohesion. The practice of curating is understood as the creation of a political space in which people can argue and experience each other.
