Q Gallery Berlin opened on November 30, 2018 in the historic Schöneberg artists' quarter - a place that has stood for cultural diversity, literature, music and visual arts since the 1920s. Anchored in this tradition, the gallery sees itself as a platform for contemporary art in a dialog between East and West, between Orient and Occident.

As a partner institution of Q Gallery Baku - one of the most important galleries for modern art in Azerbaijan - the Berlin branch adds a European perspective to the program. Works by established artists as well as positions by young talents from a geographical arc that stretches from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean region to Central Europe and North Africa will be on display.

Q Gallery Berlin was founded by Emin Mammadov, who previously ran the Berlin-Baku Gallery for more than ten years. Its mission is to make art accessible to a wide audience, promote intercultural exchange and strengthen the role of art as a social force. Through exhibitions, events and educational programs, the gallery invites dialogue between artists, researchers and visitors - across borders.
